SC upholds verdict on AIIMS whistle blower, fines Centre

The Supreme Court on Friday upheld an Uttarakhand High Court order, saying the Centre and Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences treated IFS officer Sanjeev Chaturvedi vindictively, after he allegedly exposed corruption in the medical institute five years ago. The court also upheld payment of the 25,000 rupee fine. Magsaysay award winner Sanjeev Chaturvedi, was the Chief Vigilance Officer on duty at AIIMS, when he got a poor appraisal report.
