Supreme Court judge Justice R Banumathi fainted during the hearing of 2012 Delhi gang rape case on Friday. The bench was dictating order on the Centre’ plea seeking separate hanging of the four death row convicts in the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that the judge was reeling under high fever and was on medication during the course of hearing. According to news agency PTI, Justice Banumathi soon regained consciousness and was taken to chamber. The order in the matter will be passed in-chamber.
