The Supreme Court Friday dismissed the plea filed by one of the four death row convicts in the Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case, Pawan Gupta, seeking review of its order rejecting his juvenility claim. Pawan Gupta claims he was a minor at the time of the 2012 gang-rape and killing. And this is the second time the plea has been dismissed in two weeks by the Supreme Court. The review plea filed earlier in the day was taken up for consideration in-chamber by a bench comprising Justices R Banumathi, Ashok Bhushan and A S Bopanna. All four men convicted in the Nirbhaya gangrape and murder are set to hang at 6 am on February 1.
