Samsung Odyssey G9 gaming monitor released with 49-inch curved screen

Samsung has announced the global launch of its new generation of high-spec curved gaming monitor, the Odyssey G9. It comes with a 49-inch curved QLED display with an ultrawide aspect ratio (32:9) and dual-QHD resolution (5,120 x 1,440 pixels). It features an industry first 1000R curvature, a rapid 1ms response time with a 240Hz refresh rate, support for HDR10+, and AMD FreeSync 2 as well as Nvidia G-Sync compatibility for tear-free gaming. At the rear, the Odyssey G9 has an Infinity Core Lighting area, which allows users to choose between 52 different colors and five lighting effects via the included software. Other features include picture-in-picture mode, game mode, eye saver mode, virtual aim point, and more. The gaming monitor also features one HDMI port, two DisplayPort inputs, a 2-port USB 3.0 hub, and a 3.5mm audio output jack. The monitor is available for purchase on Samsung's website for $1,699, but there’s now word on Indian availability.
