RRR-Maidaan clash: Boney Kapoor slams Rajamouli, says 'it is unethical'

Producer Boney Kapoor has still not made peace with the release date  clash between his sports-drama 'Maidaan' and director SS Rajamouli’s 'RRR'.

In a recent interview with Forbes, Boney lashed out at Rajamouli saying he is not aware of any other occasion when two films featuring the same star are announced for release on the same day. He said that Ajay Devgn, the lead of 'Maidaan', is also playing a key role in the multi-crore period film 'RRR'. Boney accused Rajamouli of 'strong-arm tactics and bullying'. He claimed that the slated box office clash of these films will further add to woes of the film industry, which has already been ravaged by the Covid-19 induced disruption.
