Roger Waters rejects Mark Zuckerberg’s bid to use Pink Floyd song in Instagram ad

Jun 18, 2021 15:19 IST | By Editorji News Desk

Songwriter and composer Roger Waters, who co-founded Pink Floyd, slammed Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg at an event for requesting his permission to use one of the band's songs for an ad campaign to promote Instagram.

Waters said that Facebook offered him a ‘huge amount of money’ to use the band's hit 1979 song 'Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2' and that he turned down the offer.

The 77-year-old also called Zuckerberg a ‘little prick’ who became one of the most powerful idiots in the world.
