Report: Realme could break away from parent company Oppo

Oppo-sub brand Realme could very well break away from its parent company if it continues to expand at the current rate, Realme Taiwan CCO told DigiTimes. He was quoted saying that Realme would continue to share resources with Oppo but develop its own ecosystem and product lines. The company, which marked its debut in May 2018, has sold10 million smartphones and is the 7th largest smartphone maker in the world. According to Counterpoint Research, Realme is currently the fastest growing smartphone brand in the world.
