The Hindustan Times has reported that Prime minister Narendra Modi gave a go ahead for the IAF strike on February 18 and that only seven people knew of the operation -- PM Modi, NSA Ajit Doval, 3 services chiefs and heads of RAW and IB. Report also said that Doval spoke to his US counterpart John Bolton over the phone and briefed him about the strike and India’s right to pre-emptively defend itself.
