Some Instagram users have been notified by the platform that their password may have been exposed due to a security bug. The bug was tied to a feature that allowed users to download all of their data. The passwords were included in the URL meant for accessing the data, raising concerns that user passwords were being stored as plain text, which have since been dismissed by the company.
