India on Wednesday recorded the highest one-day spike of Covid-19 cases at over 1.26 lakh. In the last four days, India has recorded over a lakh cases on three days. The country also logged 685 deaths due to the virus in a single day. The total number of active cases has also gone to over 9 lakh now, data released by the health ministry on Thursday morning showed.
The Union Health Ministry said that close to 30 lakh Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered in a span of 24 hours on April 6, taking the total doses given in the country so far to over 9 crore.
