Sep 29, 2019 18:12 IST

Ahead of the festive season, the Monetary Policy Committee headed by Governor Shaktikanta Das is likely to vote for a fifth rate cut on Friday. According to reports the central bank will look to complement the corporate tax cut and promote growth in economic activity. The RBI has already slashed the repo rate by 110 basis points since January and according to analysts will go for another 25 basis points cut to provide stimulus and halt the widespread slowdown.
