Oct 31, 2020 10:47 IST

Even the Covid-19 pandemic could not spoil this tea's brew!

'Manohari Gold Tea', a famous tea produced by Manohari Tea Estate was sold for a bidding price of Rs 75,000 per kg at the Guwahati Tea Auction Centre.

The tea was purchased by Guwahati-based tea trader Vishnu Tea Company, who will retail it globally on their digital e-commerce website 9amtea.com.

This is the third successive auction record set by the same mark of tea. The earlier record was set a price of Rs 50,000 per kg last year.
