Rahul Gandhi will visit Tamil Nadu on Thursday during the festival of Pongal, and witness the controversial bull taming event ''Jallikattu''. Congress’ Tamil Nadu chief KS Alagiri said on Tuesday that Rahul Gandhi will show his support for farmers by watching the event in Madurai as a bull is a symbol of farmers and part of their lives. He also stressed that the Wayanad MP would not engage in any election campaign that day nor does he have plans to visit the party's ally DMK's chief MK Stalin during his visit to the state that will go to polls in April-May
