      Qualcomm has announced the launch of its new 5G-supported extended reality (XR) platform, the Snapdragon XR2. The company claims it can be used across various augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality user cases. It also promises twice the CPU and GPU performance over the Snapdragon 835 chipset. The actual products using the new platform are expected to arrive in late 2020 or early 2021.
