Scientists in Thailand administered a second dose of a potential Covid-19 vaccine to monkeys on Monday to assess if they can proceed to human trials. 13 monkeys were immunised to see if there will be an immune response, according to researchers at Bangkok's Chulalongkorn University. The monkeys have been divided into three groups, depending on the extent of dosage and will receive a total of three injections, all a month apart. A first dose was administered on the 23rd of May and it generated a positive response. If the second round is successful, 10,000 doses will be ordered for a human trial.
