Congress president Rahul Gandhi has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the surgical strikes. Addressing an event in poll bound Rajasthan, Rahul said attacking terrorists inside Pakistan occupied Kashmir was a military decision, but PM Modi had used the strike for political gains. "What the Army would have liked was we'll do it, it's beneficial if nobody knows we did it. But Modi didn't want that. He was fighting an election in UP & he was losing it. So, he turned a military asset into a political asset," he said.
