PM urges BJP leaders ahead of Bengal polls: 'Do not indulge in name-calling'

Mar 06, 2021 13:34 IST | By Editorji News Desk

With the West Bengal elections just a few days away, PM Modi on Thursday held one-on-one meetings with senior leaders at the BJP headquarters to understand the on ground situation in Bengal. Reports say he also urged his party colleagues to see to it that the BJP does not indulge in name-calling or abuses and keeps the campaign positive.

Reports quoting senior BJP leaders said, the PM asked them not to indulge in negativity to counter the diatribe against the party and its leaders from the ruling TMC. PM Modi reportedly asked BJP leaders to ensure that the party's campaign is civilised.
