PM Modi mocks Congress on NRC double standards

Prime Minister Narendra Modi mocked the Congress while speaking on the issue of implementation of the National Register of Citizens in Assam in the Rajya Sabha. He questioned the Opposition's double standards saying they had overlooked Rajiv Gandhi's acceptance of the NRC in the Assam Accord. PM Modi said, "You take credit for everything, will you not take credit for NRC? Rajiv Gandhi had accepted NRC in the Assam accord. Then the Supreme Court had to intervene. Also, the top court directed us so we have implemented it. So why are you not taking credit for this?"
