PM Modi's Puducherry visit: Drones banned to tighten security

Mar 30, 2021 07:43 IST | By Editorji News Desk

Flying of drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has been banned in Puducherry from March 29-30 to ensure security for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will address an election rally on Tuesday to woo voters for NDA candidates contesting the April 6 Assembly polls.

In a press release, District Magistrate Purva Garg said an order prohibiting flying of drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles has been issued. Any violation would attract action under section 188 of Indian Penal Code and other relevant laws.
