Known for his distinct sartorial identity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wore a special 'paghdi' to join India's 72nd Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi.
The deep saffron bhandej 'paghdi' is from Jamnagar in Gujarat. Reportedly, the first such 'Paghdi' was gifted to the PM by the royal family of Jamnagar.
Additionally, the PM wore his signature Modi jacket in grey with a shawl draped over his shoulder.
India is celebrating its 72nd Republic Day today, the day its constitution came into force in 1950.
