We're aware of the dangers plastic possesses when it comes to our environment, but a new study has some more shocking revelations. A research published in the Nature journal, and reported by The Conversation states that: 1. Plastics account for 3.8% of the global greenhouse gas emissions, across their life cycle 2. This is almost double the emissions from the aviation industry. 3. Moreover, if it was a country, the 'Plastic Kingdom' would be the 5th highest greenhouse gas emitter in the world!
