Peter Siddle announces international retirement

Dec 29, 2019 12:16 IST

Australian fast bowler Peter Siddle brought the curtains down on his 11-year-long international career as he announced his retirement with immediate effect. Siddle who last played for Australia in the 5th Ashes Test vs England this year bagged 221 wickets in 67 Tests and finished as the 13th highest wicket-taker for the Aussies in the longest format. Interestingly in 2010, Siddle picked up a hat-trick on his birthday against England. The 35-year-old however, will continue to play domestic cricket, including the Big Bash League.
