A dog, whose owner was infected with COVID-19, in Hong Kong has tested 'weak positive' for the coronavirus. However, officials at the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department of Hong Kong are still unsure as to whether the dog is actually infected or if its a case of environmental contamination since the dog has not shown any 'relevant' symptoms. The dog's nasal and rectal samples were collected. Further tests will be conducted to ascertain the disease. The dog is now under quarantine as precautionary measure. The health department also stated that all pets of infected persons will be quarantined and tested.
