Over 50 countries have come together and committed to save a third of the planet by 2030. The pledge has been made by the High Ambition Coalition (HAC) for Nature and People to protect at least 30% of the planet’s land and oceans. This move is essential to prevent a mass extinction of animals and plants and to ensure the production of clean air and water. This will be the main objective at the “Paris Agreement for Nature” to be negotiated at Cop15 in Kunming, China later this year.
