Opposition backs Didi: Centre's move anti-democratic

Feb 03, 2019 22:49 IST

The Kolkata showdown has turned into a full-blown political war, with Opposition leaders now jumping in to defend Mamata Banerjee's govt. Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed solidarity with Didi. He called the govt's action bizarre and anti-democratic. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav also tweeted, calling the CBI a coalition partner of the BJP. He added that there's no one more powerful than the people in a democracy. Report say SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has also called Mamata Banerjee to show his support.
