Jesse Takayama, a Japanese tourist visited Peru in March this year with hopes of touring the Inca ruins of Machu Picchu. But as luck would have it, the World Heritage Site closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Takayama waited almost 7 months to visit Machu Picchu and finally on submitting a special request to the Culture Minister, authorities decided to open the citadel for him. On Saturday, Machu Picchu was especially opened for him and he visited along with the Park's head. A video shows him rejoicing on the top of the Machu Picchu mountain. Truly worth the wait.
