'Oldest music festival' in India kickstarts in Delhi today

Touted to be the 'oldest music festival' in India, the 73rd edition of Shriram Shankarlal Music festival will kick-start in New Delhi on the 12th of March and will go on till the 15th. Over the course of four days, the festival will celebrate Hindustani classical heritage and will see performances by Padma Shri awardees Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan, Hindustani vocalists Rashid Khan and Ulhas Kashalkar along with some young artists. The music festival is being hosted at the Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra lawns.
