As violence mounted in parts of the National Capital, the Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) postponed Wednesday's Class 10 and 12 board examinations after a government request. Examinations in rest of Delhi will be conducted as scheduled, the CBSE said in a press release. Schools will remain shut today for the second consecutive day. The new dates for the for the exams will be notified soon the release said. CBSE's decision comes after the Delhi High Court ruled that the safety of children cannot be put at risk, and asked the board to take a call on postponing exams in centres of Northeast Delhi.
