A policeman and 2 civilians were killed as clashes continued in parts of northeast Delhi for the second straight day on Monday. Pro and anti-Citizenship protesters pelted stones at each other at different localities of the district in which scores of people including over 30 policemen were injured. The clashes had erupted on Saturday near a protest site of women dissenters in Jafarabad but on Sunday the violence spread to many adjoining areas. As police imposed restrictions under Section 144, protesters set vehicles, a fire tender and a petrol pump on fire in Jaffrabad, Maujpur and Bhajanpura. Police used teargas to curbs the protesters and deployed 8 companies of security personnel to bring situation under control. 5 metro stations on the Pink line have been shut.
