Oct 25, 2020 11:15 IST

An RTI query has revealed that no Covid patient has been admitted in isolation units made after converting 900 non-AC sleeper coaches in Maharashtra, India Today reported. Western Railway and Central Railway has spent nearly ₹6 crore to transform these coaches into isolation units. Central Railway had set up 482 Covid care coaches at a cost of ₹3.8 crores and Western Railway transformed 410 coaches for a little over ₹2 crore as a back up option for Maharashtra government in case of an emergency.
