Thousands of migrant workers had to walk 100s of kilometers in heat to reach their villages from cities during the last year's national lockdown. The Delhi government of Tuesday imposed a night curfew in the national capital from 10 pm to 5 am. The order will be imposed with immediate effect till April 30.

Delhi reported 5,506 new Covid-19 cases and 20 deaths on Wednesday. This is the highest single-day spike of coronavirus infections in the national capital this year.
