A newly-wed couple in Maharashtra's Vasai donated 50 beds to a Covid-19 care centre in the city on their wedding day. Eric Lobo and Merlin Tuscano tied the knot on the 20th of June in a local church and have been doing a lot of voluntary work amid the pandemic. They have organised trains for migrant workers and are even running community kitchens. The couple decided to cut down the expenses of their wedding ceremony and use the money to donate beds, mattresses and pillows to an isolation centre. They also plan to donate oxygen cylinders to the centre in the coming days.
