It seems that any match that goes down to a Super Over involving New Zealand is an automatic win for the other team. The Wellington game that the Kiwis lost was, in fact, their 4th super over finish in last 6 months and the Blackcaps have found themselves on the losing side on all 4 occasions. It also involved a heartbreaking loss in the final of the 2019 World Cup. Moreover, New Zealand have been involved in 7 super over finishes in the shortest format, the most by any side in the world. Sadly, the Kiwis have lost 6 of those, with their last win coming way back in 2010. Interestingly, Tim Southee was chosen to bowl in 6 of those and he managed a win just once. Yet another heartbreaking super over for New Zealand against India proves that the Blackcaps have failed miserably in breaking their Super Over jinx.
