American-based company Artiphon has unveiled a new product for music-makers that it's seeking funding for--the Orba. It's a handheld synth, looper and MIDI controller. With separate buttons for drum, bass, chord, lead layers and basic controls, it's a handy device for creators on the go. The onboard accelerometer and gyroscope help it respond to gestures and make it velocity sensitive as well. There's even haptics to provide vibration when composing, and a headphone jack for using headphones or amps instead of the in-built speaker. The Orba is available to pre-order for $89 on crowd-funding platform Kickstarter, with delivery expected in April 2020.
