A British study has found that consuming a diet high in sugar fructose might prevent the proper functioning of our immune systems in more ways than we know.
Fructose is commonly found in sugary drinks, sweets, and processed foods and is widely associated with obesity.
Published in the journal Nature Communications, the study shows that fructose causes the immune system to become inflamed which can damage cells and tissues and lead to organs not working as they should and later disease.
