Even as everything seems to be reopening, the pandemic feels nowhere close to ending. The crumbling economic and medical sector has also had a deep impact on our mental health. Confirming the same, a survey by GOQii — a preventive healthcare ecosystem, has found that at least 43 per cent of people in India are currently facing the brunt of depression.
Studying the impact on 10,000 Indians, the survey found more than 59 per cent of the population is finding little pleasure in doing things these days and 12 per cent feels this way every day. The survey also reports that 57 per cent of people feel as though they have no energy or are very tired on some days.
This has lead to some people oversleeping with many others unable to sleep at all. The survey's findings suggest that the common uncertainty has lead to a high-stress situation.
