In a bizarre incident, chickens on a Kerala farm began laying eggs with yolks that were green in colour! The owner of the farm in Malappuram brought the incident to light almost a month back on Facebook but clarified that the eggs tasted the same as those with a yellow yolk. Shihabudheen AK's post garnered a lot of attention, including that of experts from Kerala vetereinary and animal sciences university, who decided to look into the matter. Their research concluded that it was the diet of the birds that led to green-coloured yolks.&nbsp;The same birds were fed with a certain diet and they produced normal eggs. The farm owner later revealed that he used a mix of plants and herbs with the food to feed the birds!
