Former J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti's daughter Iltija Mufti has said that her mother is not being released from house arrest as she will speak for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. In an interview to The Indian Express, Iltija said that her mother's freedom is contingent on her not talking about Article 370. "Now it’s become a game of who blinks first. But the bad news for them is that it’s not going to be my mother, it’s going to be them because she’s going to stick to her guns," Iltija said. Mehbooba Mufti has been under house arrest since April after being in detention for 7 months since August last year.
