In times where communal harmony seems like a distant dream stories of people like Bababhai Pathan are reassuring and it cements the belief in amicable coexistence. Pathan from Ahmednagar in Maharashtra became the talk of twitter after, according to a netizen, he adopted two 'orphaned' Hindu women as his sisters and married them off following Hindu customs and rituals. However, a report by India Times suggests that the two sisters have their mother, Bhusare, who ties rakhi to Pathan every year as she doesn't have a real brother. Bhusare, who lost her husband had Pathan marry off his daughters and he did so like an uncle of their own.
