Legendary Odia music director Shantanu Mohapatra passed away on Wednesday. 84-year-old Mohapatra was suffering from age-related ailments and died due to cardiac arrest. Paying tribute to the family, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik described Mohapatra as an 'unfading talent'. Noting that Odisha has lost a talent, Patnaik announced state honour for the departed music director. Patnaik tweeted saying that Mohapatra's music in films such as Chilean Shores, Fire Trials, and Cloud Relief will immortalise him. During his illustrious career, Mohapatra collaborated with legendary composers and singers including Lata Mangeshkar, Mohd Rafi, Manna Dey among others.
