The Mumbai police has announced a new set of rules for citizens as barber shops, salons and other businesses reopen amid the Covid-19 pandemic. According to new guidelines, citizens cannot travel beyond a two-km radius of their residences, except for attending offices or in the event of medical emergencies. If you are caught driving beyond two kilometers for reasons considered 'non essential', your vehicle will be impounded on the spot. Over 7,000 citizens violated the rules on 28 June, Mumbai Police tweeted. Other rules include mandatory use of face masks, and shops and markets not following social distancing norms will be closed down.
