The Mumbai Police have dropped charges against a woman who was seen holding a 'free Kashmir' placard at a protest in Mumbai in January earlier this year. Cops have stated that no malicious motive found behind Mehak Mirza Prabhu holding the placard. Cops had earlier booked her after the photograph of her holding the placard during an protest against the attack on JNU students. Now, the cops have filed a C-summary report, which basically means that they are dropping the charges against Mehak Mirza Prabhu. Prabhu had then said that her intention was only to highlight the restrictions imposed in the Valley after the Centre's revocation of Article 370.
