Mohan Bhagwat: Organised attempt to increase Muslim population since 1930

Jul 22, 2021 08:35 IST | By Editorji News Desk

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Wednesday said that there has been an organised attempt to increase Muslim population in India since 1930.

Speaking at an event in Guwahati, the RSS chief said these attempts were being made with a motive of “establishing Muslims’ dominance and turning India into Pakistan”.

"There has been an organised attempt to increase Muslim population since 1930, with a motive of establishing their dominance and make this country Pakistan. It was planned for Punjab, Sindh, Assam, and Bengal and it succeeded to a certain extent," the RSS chief said.

The RSS chief further added that the new citizenship law would give protection to the persecuted minorities in the neighbouring countries, especially in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

"After the partition, we have taken care of our minorities even though Pakistan did not do it...and NRC is only a process to find out who is a genuine citizen, nothing else. The matter (NRC) is in the government domain. A section of people wants to get political mileage by creating a communal narrative involving both the NRC and CAA," he added.
