Former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq appears to be the front runner for the head coach of the Pakistani cricket team. The interviews for the top post were conducted on Thursday and contenders include former opener Mohsin Hasan Khan along with ex-Aussie batsman Dean Jones. Reports say Dean Jones could miss out on the top job on grounds of being a foreigner, as Pakistan's experience with foreign coaches has not been smooth sailing. The coaching positions of the Pakistan cricket team have been vacant after the PCB did not extend contracts of Mickey Arthur and others, following Pakistan's dismal performance at the 2019 World Cup.
