Minority status of schools cancelled!

Tamil Nadu Government order regarding the issue of minority status for schools has been cancelled .Government of Tamil Nadu had issued an order stating that whichever school admits more than 50% of the students from minority community the school will get minority status. Against this order 140 schools have gone to the court. Justice Raja bench of High court has quashed the order of Tamil Nadu Government, stating that state government has no power to issue minority status. He also stated that Tamil Nadu Government can prefer a petition if the schools deny any Eligible Candidate admission.
