Middle order conundrum back to haunt Team India

Jun 27, 2019 19:31 IST

The Indian middle order was put to test for the second game in a row, and it failed to impress once again. With the men in blue 2 down for 98 vs the Windies, Vijay Shankar had a golden opportunity to prove his mettle, but just like the previous game against Afghanistan, India's go to number 4 batsman didn't cash in on the opportunity. After Shankar fell for 14, Kedar Jadhav too followed him back to the pavilion for just 7 runs. Though Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni helped India reach 268/7, but clearly, the middle order is looking wobbly once again and the number 4 debate is back to haunt the men in blue.
