After a 2-year delay, the new National Museum of Qatar is all set to open on March 28. An architectural marvel, the 'desert rose' is about to bloom, with 76,000 panels fitted together like a puzzle of discs. Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, it will showcase three chapters of Qatar history and visitors can get a glimpse of the 19th-century Pearl Carpet of Baroda. Various art pieces, by local and international artists will also be on display. The museum will use video, audio clips and tactile techniques, to make the experience a more real one
