In a bid to clamp down on economic offenders and prevent them from fleeing the country, the government has reportedly prepared a list of 20 names requesting the Intelligence Bureau to restrict their travel. Reports suggest the latest to receive the setback is DHFL as the Ministry of Housing Affairs has issued a look-out notice against the promoters in an alleged connection to financial fraud. A report earlier this year had alleged the DHFL routed ₹31,000 crore from ₹91,000 crore bank loans through shell companies. However, DHFL has refuted the claims.
