The Centre on Thursday allowed free movement of all goods cargo, including empty vehicles after delivery or for pick up of goods. The order issued by the Home Ministry clarifies
that it is essential to maintain the supply chain of goods and services in the country to boost the economy as well as to meet the demand of people amid the Covid-19 lockdown. The order also stated that local authorities must not insist on separate transit passes at borders across the country. The Home Ministry issued the order following inputs that at inter-state borders in different parts of the country, movement of trucks was not allowed freely and local authorities were insisting upon separate passes.
