Mehbooba meets family in Pulwama, warns J&K cops

Former J&K chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday visited the family of a suspected militant who were reportedly harassed by the police. In a series of tweets, she lashed out at the police, saying she would not allow south Kashmir to turn into a battlefield. She also appealed to the Governor to take action against policemen for use of excessive force on civilians. "This is unacceptable. If you want to fight terrorists, fight them. Don't harass their families", she said.
